Eligible electric cars in B.C. will be allowed to travel in the HOV lanes without having to meet the occupancy requirements. A decal must be issued by the Province, however vehicles relying on gas-electric hybrid motors are not eligible to for this decal. This initiative by the province is to promote and encourage the public to make greener choices with purchasing electric cars.
